Mr. Paul Edsel Wingler, Sr., age 66, of Millers Creek, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at his home. Mr. Wingler was born March 12, 1946 in Cabarrus County to Fred and Marie Absher Wingler. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Wingler was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Cordia Perry Wingler of the home; son, Paul Earnest Wingler of Millers Creek; daughter, Donna Wingler of Millers Creek; grandson, Jonathan Wingler of the home, step granddaughter, Brooke McNeil of Millers Creek; two brothers, Larry Wingler and the late Shirley Wingler of Millers Creek, Glenn Wingler and wife Faye of Kannapolis; six sisters, Ella Jean Menius of China Grove, Ailene Watson and the late James Watson of Holden Beach, Gladys Wilkes and husband Larry of Kannapolis, Ruth Ann Eldreth and husband Bob of China Grove, Doris Stokes and husband Harry of Kannapolis, Penny Story of China Grove; nine nephews and eight nieces.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 o’clock Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dayton Roten, Rev. Kipp Roten, and the Rev. Billy Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Royal Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 o’clock Saturday night.
