Mr. Jimmy “Allen” Shepherd, age 45, of North Wilkesboro, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Mr. Shepherd was born May 3, 1967 in Wilkes County to Jessie Lee Shepherd, Jr. and Clara Lee Walsh Shepherd. He was a member of Cricket Baptist Church, served with the Cricket Fire Department for 25 years and was employed with Dallas Hudspeth as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Shepherd was preceded in death by his mother.
Surviving are his wife, Cindy Shepherd of the home; daughter, Kimberly Shepherd of the home; his father, Jessie Shepherd of North Wilkesboro; brother, Paul Shepherd of North Wilkesboro; and three grandchildren, Dillon Shepherd, Joshua Shepherd and Connor Shepherd all of North Wilkesboro.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 o’clock Friday, February 8, 2013 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Rector, Rev. Brady Hayworth and Rev. Arvil Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 o’clock Thursday night. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Miller Funeral Service to help with funeral expenses. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
